Description
Server Operation System and Software installation
- Implement Windows Server OS on multiple Hardware platforms
- Implement and utilize server for image deployments
- Participates in team hot pager rotation to ensure 24x7 support coverage for critical events.
- OS Build/Installation and configuration using Windows 2000 or 2003 Server
- Implement VMWare Enterprise Server Edition
- Perform installation of Tivoli Storage Manager, Veritas backup or other backup software
- Perform base configuration and basic client side problem resolution of backup software
- Perform Operating System and File Restoration from backups
Required Skill Sets/Experiences:
- Proven ability to resolve problems in a timely and proactive manner.
- Proven ability to interact with Customer and teams in a positive, results oriented, professional fashion.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Adhere to documented Security policies and practices as well as demonstrated ability to implement patches and other security requirements based on defined policies
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to, develop and improve processes
- Knowledge of change management process and experience planning and executing scheduled changes including developing and following written
change installation procedures
- Proven ability to identify and implement automations that support processes for maximum efficiency
- IBM Hardware experience
- Experience supporting Production and/or Development and Test environments
- Experience Implementing High Availability Solutions
- Experience in an environment which utilizes Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Area Storage (NAS)
- Experience in administering and managing a large, complex, distributed, multi platform environment.
- Experience performing server consolidations and server migrations
- Excellent organization, prioritization skills as well as proactive and energetic
Work Location: On-site in Indianapolis, IN
Hours: 1st shift
Needs to be on-call
Weekend coverage is required
No travel is required
