Summary Under general supervision, this position is responsible for strategic guidance in the area of employee relations. In addition, this position will contribute to the efforts of process improvement, benchmarking, and varied HR project support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with employees across the organization. The ability to build credibility and be viewed as a consultative partner.
  • Serves as a consultant to supervisors and managers regarding employee relations issues, compliance with government regulations and administering company policies and practices.
  • Expected to coach supervisors and managers in assessing appropriate performance management alternatives, including final approval of written performance plans.
  • Conduct internal investigations, as needed, with the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for project management of various HR initiatives, such as performance review enhancements, organization-wide communications, metrics and measurement development, etc.
  • Responsible for ongoing maintenance and development of the Bank’s Employee Handbook, as well as other important information to the Bank’s intranet website, including writing policies and procedures.
  • Produces reports, analysis and board material for HR Manager and Director.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of employee programs, such as Employee Appreciation, Wellness, Performance Review System, Business Continuity Exercise, Parking Reimbursement, etc.
  • Responsibility for assuring compliance with all human resource policies.

  • Some travel required

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Human Resources experience in banking or financial services.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
